LRE Progam

The Lifestyle Relational Evangelism (LRE) program is an outreach of the Evangelism Team. The purpose of LRE is to:

Welcome visitors and provide them with information about church programs
Make home visits to newcomers and church family, as needed
Provide shut-ins with weekly mailings, including devotionals and church bulletins
Distribute video tapings of the weekly worship service to those desiring them
Attempt to incorporate individuals into the life of the church

The LRE Team meets on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. for visits. Each visitation team consists of two individuals. Flowers left on the altar on Sunday are divided into smaller arrangements and taken to those visited.

MUSIC MINISTRIES

Living Waters Praise Band

The Living Waters Praise Band is a contemporary praise and worship team that provides music and leads the congregational singing during Windsor's contemporary service each week. The group combines vocals and instrumentals to add spirit and depth to the worship experience. Membership in the Living Waters Praise Band is open to anyone who wishes to be a part of the ensemble. No audition is necessary, and you do not need to have musical training to be a member. During the school year, rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings in the choir room at 8:30 p.m. The group also meets 30 minutes before the 8:30 a.m. service to rehearse and warm up.

Chancel Choir

Windsor UMC's Chancel Choir provides music and leads the congregational singing for the traditional service each week. As well as offering a choral anthem during the weekly services, the Chancel Choir presents special musical programs at Christmas, Easter, Independence Day and Rally Day each year. Membership in the Chancel Choir is open to everyone and no audition is necessary. You do not need to have any musical training to participate. August to May, the choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings in the Sanctuary from 7:15-8:30 p.m. During the summer, the choir meets every other Wednesday from 7:15-8:30 p.m.

Meet Windsor's Minister of Music

Jerome Ogburn is Windsor's Minister of Music. He has directed the music ministries of Baptist and Methodist churches for 30 years and appreciates all musical styles. He is convinced that music affords us an excellent means of fulfilling both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission and that we demonstrate our love for God through our worship and that music is an outward, overt expression of that worship.

Jerome and his wife, Mickey, have two grown daughters.
